Air Stones are made from lime wood (German natural product) and produce the finest   air bubbles.Ideal for Nano skimmers, air driven protein skimmers and foam fractionators. Also can be used as a premium airstone in any aquarium due to the sheer volumes of micro bubbles these create once connected to an airpump.

Air woods produce smaller and more uniform gas bubble than injector = venturi or some dispergator pumps – they are more effective. But you have to change air woods regularly.

For high performance skimming the bubble pattern is essential. The bubble pattern is better, the smaller the single bubble and the more homogeneous the bubble diameter of the universe. At the same air volume many small bubbles creates a larger surface than a few large bubbles. Because the adsorption process is mainly effected by the surface air woods are one step ahead where high performance is concerned.
